Michael Galagan
Board Chairman
Hello! This is Michael Galagan. It is my real pleasure to serve and work with the Deaf Institute (DI) Board. I have been a board member of Deaf Institute for almost 25 years. I have served as the Board Chairman for a couple of years. I am also a member of the Personnel Committee and Finance committees.
I was born and raised in Minnesota. I attended the Minnesota School for the Deaf and graduated in 1977. Then I attended Gallaudet University and graduated in 1982. I got a job with a Naval Air Test Center in Patuxent River, MD as a computer programmer. We decided to move to Indianapolis, Indiana.
I am currently residing in Indianapolis. I retired from the Federal Government in 2018. I am a member of Indian Creek Christian Church in Indianapolis.
I am inspired daily and faithfully by my wife Kimberly for 37 years and 2 children (Patrick, 33, and Aimee, 31). In my free time, I like to do wood-making projects and do crossword puzzles. Kimberly and I enjoy our traveling together.
