Highfield Discovery Garden 2:30 p.m. Meet at Glenwood Garden for Story time, and Snack 3:00 p.m. ½ group Soil Tour ½ group plays 3:30 p.m. Switch groups 4:00 p.m. Play, Plant our own flowers Garden Hours are 12:00p.m.- 5:00 p.m. You may come whenever you would like and stay all day. Check-in at the welcome center and let them know you are with Deaf Streetlight, and they will admit you. DS is NOT providing a meal. You can eat beforehand or pack your own lunch. We will provide a small snack during storytime. You may enter/exit the Highfield Discovery Garden all day with the admission. Register Now
Deaf Streetlight will be hosting a Deaf VBS Class at Western Hills Church of Christ's VBS. Ages 4 years - 5th grade. Lunch is provided. 9am - 12pm Daily Register Now
10:30 a.m. Arrive and divide into two groups, A and B. 11:00- 11:45 a.m. Group A goes on interpreted tour; Group B Creates Art on the lawn 11:45-12:15 p.m. Lunch and Story Time- “Maybe Something Beautiful” Please pack your own lunch! 12:15- 1:00 p.m. Group A Creates Art, Group B goes on tour After the tours, kids will be able to choose their OWN art kit to create their own art at home! The first is for Deaf Streetlight. The second is a separate volunteer registration for Matthew 25 Ministries. Please register in both places. In order to make the check-in process at Matthew 25 Ministries as smooth as possible, we request that all new volunteers pre-register prior to arrival. Otherwise, you will be registered by a staff member upon arrival. Please note, no large bags or backpacks are permitted inside Matthew 25 Ministries. Purses and bags necessary for medical supply needs are allowed but are subject to search. Deaf Streetlight Registration M25M Registration Dress Code We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. The temperature in our Processing Center fluctuates with each season, so please dress accordingly. We will be starting a 6-week Free Community Zoom Sign Class on October 13, 2022, and it will end November 17, 2022. It will be on Thursday evenings from 6:30p-7:30p EST. Food Included | ASL | Fellowship There will be an interpreter at the ticket booth. Lunch will be served from 12-1. Interpreters will be available from 12-6. You may arrive and leave anytime throughout the day as you wish and still receive the Deaf Day price. However, we will only have interpreters available 12-6 p.m. Lunch: Hot dog, Chips, Water bottle. Additional food will be available for purchase. Story, Crafts, Games, and ASL classes will be available at the shelter area. Hay Ride story will be interpreted.
