How Can I Get Involved?
There are several ways to support our ministry:
Pray
We ask you for your support through intercession with God through prayer. Lift up Deaf Streetlight and its staff members and board members and pray for wisdom, guidance and discernment. Pray for resources and connections to be abundant for the families whom we serve.
Volunteer
Sign up to help us conduct our events, or sign up to be a Deaf-Mentor to families or individuals learning how to navigate the world of ASL and/or hearing loss. If you have any of the following skills, we are often in need of volunteers like you: photography, journalism, graphic design, organization.
Donate
Your financial support helps Deaf Streetlight to expand their reach and impact more lives, but there are many different ways you can donate!
Another way to get involved:
Tell your story! By sharing your experiences, we can all learn something!
From telling your ‘big’ story about your experience with deafness, to sharing ‘smaller’ stories about barriers you’ve run into, they all have a valuable lesson. By sharing your story and your experience, you may give insight to someone else about

- How to navigate the barrier
- What resources you found
- How to resolve the issue
- Understanding a Deaf-perspective – how can anyone empathize with the barriers or discrimination you face, if you don’t share your story and experiences!!!
